TKB Trading: My One-Stop-Shop :)
Recently I discovered this amazing company that almost everyone in the beauty world has heard of-- TKB Trading. (If you haven't heard of it until now then Google it and prepare to have your mind blown!) I didn't even understand the extent of my obsession with their products until recently when for about a week straight I had boxes showing up at my door! I just kept going on their website, which unfortunately for me is so well organized that I can be on there for hours, and ordering more and more stuff and eventually even I lost track of what I had bought :0 Needless to say now I have the issue of storing all of my goodies as yet another box has come to my house!!
TKB has everything that you would need to start making your own cosmetics and then some! I bought everything from pigments and different mica shimmers to ingredients for lip gloss, lipstick, and even stuff for making my own wax (don't ask, I have an addiction). I remember the first time I received my samples of mica from them--it was also the moment that I decided to mix my own makeup. Their prices were so affordable that I didn't feel bad about buying a little bit of everything and seeing what worked for me and what didn't. In my opinion that is the only way that anyone starting to experiment with makeup can figure out what works and what doesn't. The unfortunate thing was that once I started flirting with the ideas and the ingredients that they sent me I just had to buy MORE stuff! Not that I'm complaining.
So only a few weeks after discovering the site I now officially have all of my tools and ingredients to begin this journey so stick around and lets see where the road takes us!!
Happy mixing!

So I finally took the plunge and decided to start my own blog! It took me forever to make this decision, mostly because I fretted about making time to write and upkeep my own blog but in the end curiosity and my own restlessness won out. I'm happy to report that even though I lost sleep over the decision to join the blogging community the actual set up of my blog was a piece of cake...to everyone out there who is on the fence about starting one of your own--JUST DO IT! I promise once its up and running it will be worth it.
Each and every person out there has something to share with the world and I believe it is a beautiful thing to be able to sit and reach out to same-minded individuals to share a piece of ourselves with the world. In my personal case that "something" that ties me to many people out there is simply makeup.
Yes, I am what you would call hopelessly addicted to anything that has to do with beauty or beauty products. For years I have been collecting all sorts of expensive and inexpensive remedies, creams, liners, colors, and even experimental products out there. If it can be used as a cosmetic I will surely get my hands on it. Most people who have this interest (or in my mothers loving words, a fetish) know how much time and effort can go into collecting these beautiful containers filled with what I can only describe as wonder. It is no wonder then that after years of collecting and experimenting my friends finally told me that I needed to do something with all of my knowledge.
The problem with simply DOING something about it is that there are thousands, if not millions of us who are doing something along the same lines. All you have to do to prove this is GOOGLE making your own makeup, or YouTube eyeshadow to see how many women and men out there have the same interest. The thing that I find fascinating is that most of us who are a part of this community are not professionally trained and makeup is a hobby. I personally still don't know many things about makeup and so I came to the conclusion that through this blog I was going to travel the road of discovery and share my experiences with purchasing, creating, and hopefully learning all about the cosmic world of cosmetics.
Like I said, I am a novice even though this is may passion, and if you are interested in learning with me through my failures, my accomplishments and my disasters then subscribe and lets go on this journey together!
Looking forward to a colorful future,
SakuraBlossom!!
